It’s been awhile since I last posted and for good reason.  Family is in the middle of a big move - haven’t moved from our current location since before little Alexsaurus Rex was born.  So we have a lot of junk and old baby stuff to rummage through before actually packing. :-/ As for my stitches, well… I haven’t been able to properly start a stitch, save for an awesome sampler I made for hubby.  I’ll have pictures as soon as I have a free moment from work, pre-employment junk for my *new* job, setting up daycare for Alexsaurus, and packing and moving.

Add potty training to that list too. Alexsaurus doesn’t like his diapers anymore, and wants more Spiderman underoos.

Front of my Kindle Fire case, and my cellphone case (the thing in green). The kanji means, “love”. The stitch on the cellphone case is a skull and cross-NEEDLES. :)

Back of my Kindle Fire case. It’s kanji for “fire”. I got the pattern from a cross stitch book: “Manga Cross-Stitch Make Your Own Graphic Art Needlework” by Helen McCarthy.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Been really busy with Christmas that I honestly had no time to stitch (save for three small pieces). The Pikachu necklace and a few stitches for my Kindle Fire case that I use from a stitch book I got for Christmas. Anyway, I just ordered everything I’m gonna need for my Harry Potter epic-chibi blanket,so that’s high on the list.

Also finished reading “Fruits Basket” in full, so expect me to do a Kyo, Yuki, Momiji, or Kisa stitch (those are my favorite Jyunnishi!).

Updates!!

So right now, no official big project is lined up. At least, not until after Christmas.  I’ve learned a bit of embroidery, so I may take a few photos of the Gucci-inspired wallet I’m working on, as well as a few little things (like a large Nyan Cat necklace I’m currently on) in a few.

Holiday-wise, it’s going great! Alex is 2 1/2, so he’s now getting the whole Christmas season; we’re doing an Advent Calendar and Elf on the Shelf things this year, and he really is excited about it.  Every morning, he runs to the Advent Calendar for his daily present, and then once he gets it he goes to find where the Elf went. (or where we put it)  It’s really cute!

I also have an upcoming interview for a position a few towns away, and I’m hoping I get it.  It’s working with adoption and foster care!! :) It’s so awesome.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Now off to finish that Nyan Cat.

So I will probably not update for awhile, and if any updates do pop up, they’ll be works in progress.

I have two girls that are due to having babies in the upcoming spring (my baby sister and a friend from high school), so I’m working on projects for both of them.

My friend is big into Harry Potter and I found the CUTEST Harry Potter chibis.  I’m planning on making a baby blanket for her little one.

My sister is with someone with the last name of a very confident, rug-wearing captain of Star Trek, so obviously I’m making a ton of Star Trek-related stuff too.

My to-do list is packed!

My first venture in 3D stitching. Again, not a great attempt, but I have got the hang of it now. I may re-attempt this one, but not for awhile. (I nearly used up all of my 742 thread on this!!)
Sprite is found on Spriter’s Resource.  Pattern was created by ME, so no distributing this please, without appropriate credit! :)  Just enjoy and HAVE FUN!!

These are just three of TWENTY items.  All twenty are included on the pattern. The sprites are from Super Mario Bros., and the sprites were found on the Spriter’s Resource.
I have two ways of getting the pattern; first is with a PDF and the other with a STH file (KG Chart).  Either way, enjoy and HAVE FUN!

A-hoy-hoy. Just finished my first 3D cross stitch that I turned into a quick necklace.  It’s awesome, though a bit ragged (it is after all my first 3D!).  Still I made the entire pattern myself (sprite is of course from Spriter’s Resource).  I’ll be posting the PDF to the patterns ASAP - they’re all ready to go. :)

I’m really liking making them into actual necklaces, and I purchased some smaller aida cloth to see if I can make them tinier to fit in these small picture frame beads I picked up from JoAnn’s. (Probably not, but a girl can wish!)

Anyway, my hands are shot and I really need to remind myself to buy a thimble for my right hand index finger.
